Love Offerings

Each month we highlight a local or international ministry.  Loose cash offerings and designated offerings are given to that ministry.  An overview of these diverse ministries is provided below. Our 2019 Love Offering ministries are as follows:

JANUARY – Strong Cross Ranch

Strong Cross Ranch, southern Africa, assists those who provide spiritual reconciliation and humanitarian relief to the poorest in our world, thru education, coaching economic development, and Biblical teaching.

FEBRUARY – Evergreen Shelter Program

The mission of ESP is to provide shelter, a hot meal, and compassionate interaction to individuals and families experiencing homelessness on cold weather nights through a partnership of Evergreen area agencies, faith organizations and community members. 

MARCH – The Enlighten Foundation: Project Sparkle

Project Sparkle, Armenia, provides early education to Yezidi Kurdish children living in impoverished villages within Armenia. Local Kurdish women are also educated on relevant health issues, personal development, literacy, computer skills and business development.

APRIL – Youth Scholarships

Youth Scholarships is a Helping Hands fund to help our local youth attend youth activities. The purpose of this money will be to allow students to offer a “helping hand” to the church or any of its members in exchange for covering an event fee.

MAY – Clear Creek Rock House

“The mission of the Clear Creek Rock House is to provide our teens a safe, supervised place where they can recreate and receive life skills training from caring adults. The Rock House does this through mentoring, tutoring, after-school programs and events.”

 

JUNE – Adult Mission Support Fund

The Adult Mission Support Fund is a scholarship fund that helps with the expenses of our adult church members who choose to participate in our church initiated mission trips.

JULY – Blue Spruce Habitat for Humanity

Seeking to put God’s love into action, Blue Spruce Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.

AUGUST – LFS Refugees Program

Lutheran Family Services is a faith based, local non-profit human service agency helping children and families during their most challenging times. The Refugee & Asylee Programs’ goal is to help refugees be resettled into a secure, stable environment on their way to self-sufficiency. 

SEPTEMBER – Life’s Options Pregnancy Center

The primary purpose of Life’s Options Pregnancy Center is to provide life-affirming choices for women and families facing unintended pregnancies. They also educate youth in the community on the risks of non-marital sexual activity and encourage sexual abstinence. They offer emotional support, medical referrals, financial assistance, and more.

OCTOBER – World Gospel Outreach

World Gospel Outreach (WGO) provides North American missionaries the opportunity to serve on week-long mission trips to Honduras and Belize, providing basic services (medical, optical, dental), children’s ministry and Christian outreach in poor neighborhoods and villages. 

NOVEMBER – Mount Evans Hospice

Mount Evans Hospice in Evergreen provides compassionate in-home health care and hospice services to Colorado mountain-area residents. They offer grief support to adults and children, including an award- winning children’s bereavement program, Camp Comfort.

DECEMBER – The Seed Company

The mission of The Seed Company is to accelerate Scripture translation and impact for people without God’s Word through Great Commission partnerships.
