Love Offerings

Each month we highlight a local or international ministry.  Loose cash offerings and designated offerings are given to that ministry.  An overview of these diverse ministries is provided below. Our 2018 Love Offering ministries are as follows:

JANUARY – Strong Cross Ranch

Strong Cross Ranch, southern Africa, assists those who provide spiritual reconciliation and humanitarian relief to the poorest in our world, thru education, coaching economic development, and Biblical teaching.

FEBRUARY – Emergency Shelter Program

The Emergency Shelter Program is a local community initiative to provide emergency overnight shelter in local churches for the homeless in the Evergreen area.

MARCH – Project Sparkle

Project Sparkle, Armenia, provides early education to Yezidi Kurdish children living in impoverished villages within Armenia. Local Kurdish women are also educated on relevant health issues, personal development, literacy, computer skills and business development.

APRIL – Youth Scholarships

Youth Scholarships is a Helping Hands fund to help our local youth attend youth activities. The purpose of this money will be to allow students to offer a “helping hand” to the church or any of its members in exchange for covering an event fee.

MAY – ChristAid International

ChristAid Int’l, Uganda, serves Christ by aiding impoverished, orphaned children and elderly women. Our church and the local community in Uganda built a home for grandmother Florence, who is raising 10 grandchildren, and sponsored by a family within our church. Visit their website here.


EchO provides assistance to residents of the Evergreen mountain communities who are unemployed, under-employed, dealing with a long term illness, or experiencing other forms of personal crisis.  Visit their website here.

JULY – World Gospel Outreach

World Gospel Outreach (WGO) provides North American missionaries the opportunity to serve on week-long mission trips to Honduras and Belize, providing basic services (medical, optical, dental), children’s ministry and Christian outreach in poor neighborhoods and villages.  Other activities include home improvement such as concrete floors, painting and water systems as well as other work projects in the neighborhoods.  Maybe God is calling you to serve on future LCC teams?

AUGUST – Pioneers, China

Shaun Bao, a descendant of Chinese royalty, dreams of moving China toward principles of peace, by launching seminars and forums that educate China’s business leaders with the Kingdom culture message of love and forgiveness.

SEPTEMBER – Blue Spruce Habitat for Humanity 

Blue Spruce Habitat for Humanity is a local nonprofit, ecumenical Christian ministry founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. Learn more about them at their website.

OCTOBER – Lutheran Family Services

Lutheran Family Services is a faith based, local non-profit human service agency helping children and families during their most challenging times. The Refugee & Asylee Programs’ goal is to help refugees be resettled into a secure, stable environment on their way to self-sufficiency. To volunteer or make a donation, click here.

NOVEMBER – Adult Missionary Support Fund

Adult Missionary Support Fund is a scholarship fund that helps with the expenses of our adult church members, who choose to participate in our church initiated mission trips.

DECEMBER – Two Ministries:

Mt Evans Hospice in Evergreen provides compassionate in-home health care and hospice services to Colorado mountain-area residents. They offer grief support to adults and children, including an award- winning children’s bereavement program, Camp Comfort.

Mountain Area Pregnancy Center is an Evergreen based, free and confidential service for women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. They offer emotional support, medical referrals, financial assistance, and more.
